Trial & Pinafore 2009

The photo below is from Hull Savoyards production of H.M.S. Pinafore or The Lass that Loved a Sailor in June 2009. This was the centerpiece of the Society's 75th Anniversary Celebration, commemorating our long and vibrant tradition of Gilbert and Sullivan.  There was no better way to celebrate than with Pinafore, one of the Gilbert & Sullivans most successful collaborations. In addition to Pinafore, Giilbert and Sullivan's only one act collaboration, Trial by Jury was also presented as part of a special double bill. The pairing of Trial and Pinafore is a historically successful one and proved to be so for the Society's 68th annual production.

Together, Trial by Jury and H.M.S. Pinafore demonstrated the lyric and musical genius of both Gilbert and Sullivan and  created an unforgettable night of theatre.
